Appointed in Autumn 2023, we are delighted to welcome Mi-Sung Lee as our Choir Accompanist. She graduated from the Sung-Shin Women's University in Korea with BA Music with Distinction in 1987, supplementing her studies very early on by attending a course at the Santa Sicily Music Conservatory in Rome.
In 1988, Mi-Sung attended the Internationale Sommerakademie Mozarteum (International Mozart Summer School) in Salzburg, going on to take a place at the Royal College of Music under the supervision of Professor Kendall Taylor, achieving a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Piano Performance in 1991. Throughout this time, she enjoyed several opportunities in both Korea and the UK to perform at concerts and piano recitals, culminating in a solo recital in Seoul and performances at the Royal College of Music as part of her Postgraduate Diploma. In 2001, Mi-Sung performed at a joint piano recital here in Norfolk. She has, since 1991, taught the piano, adding a further dimension to her work in 2019 by accompanying local amateur choirs. We are pleased to now benefit from Mi-Sung's skills as our Accompanist and look forward very much to working with her into the future. Behind the scenes, Mi-Sung provides the accompaniment at choir rehearsals and she rehearses our concert soloists to prepare for their performance. |
