Our concert on Saturday 8th December 2018 brought the year to an end on a massive festive high... ...and not just because this was a 'something for everyone' programme including audience participation, several places where those in attendance might sing 'Oi!', but disciplined choirmembers didn't (or daren't!), a beautiful quartet piece and solo contributions - including one from halfway around the world, and the usual piano solo of difficulty from our Accompanist, Jason Lambert! It was also our best-ever attendance for one of our own concerts.
Also, following a raffle proceeds share and donations given for interval refreshments at our two 'home' concerts this year, our resident M.C. Ian Masters was delighted to present representatives of local charity 'Stepping Stones' with £250. This was possible only through the generosity of our audiences who bought raffle tickets and gave freely for their 'half-time' refreshments at our concerts - whatever you gave, 'Thank You'! The marvellous people of Stepping Stones do remarkable work with the adults they support, as was explained on the night.
The evening also represented our first event without Tenor 1 Fred Lake, in whose memory the concert was held.
