FIND YOUR VOICE WITH PHOENIX!
We welcome all men equally, whether of great singing heritage, or of no singing experience at all.
We do not audition for choir membership, nor do we have different membership categories.
All of our members enjoy all the benefits of membership, including taking part in our concerts.
So, are you are an accomplished singer, or an established member of a choir elsewhere?
Do you warble in social situations, whistle a happy tune, or are you just strictly bathroom?
Maybe you are new to singing with others or in public?
Men, it doesn't matter... ...if we can get you singing (and we normally can!), then we are the Choir for you!
Perhaps you hadn't even thought about singing until now? Maybe your school told you that you couldn't sing?
Some of our guys will tell you that their school did too...! ...but we've had no complaints from our audiences...!!!
Well, whatever your lack of singing heritage (or baggage!!!), we're lining up a four week course
FIND YOUR VOICE WITH PHOENIX
on Tuesdays 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th January 2026
to start your singing journey.

We throw open our rehearsal doors several times a year for more experienced singers
to take a peek behind the scenes,
so come along to one of our Concerts to see if you like what you hear,
and visit us at one of our free 'no obligation' Open Doors Rehearsals to give us a try!
Our Rehearsal Doors will next be open on:

(or the 14th, if you let us know you can't make the earlier date!)
Just meet us for 7.30pm at our rehearsal base:
Mile Cross Methodist Church, 341 Aylsham Road, Norwich NR3 2RU
(next to Lloyds Bank near The Boundary PH).
There is plenty of car parking around the Church and behind the bank next door - see the map at the foot of this page.
Enjoy a singing taster experience 'on us' without obligation
as our band of singing men start the important work of rehearsing for our next Singing Season!
It's a fabulous chance if you are unsure about public singing to see if you like it
and you get a look 'behind the scenes' to see how a male voice choir works.
We hope that you will like it and you will want to come back and join our singing membership!
We're always happy to 'buddy you up' with one of our more experienced members so you can find your feet with us.
You will be most welcome and you might even discover your fascinating new hobby!
CHOIR MEMBERSHIP:
There are no auditions for choir membership and you don’t need to be able to read music.
We just ask that you are a man of any generation interested in choral 4-part harmony singing with others,
you can regularly meet with us for our Thursday evening rehearsals in Norwich,
and that you will practice learning our repertoire outside of choir rehearsal sessions.
Music is supplied on loan to our Singing Members and aural practice parts are available for all our pieces.
Membership involves a regular monthly subscription, a desire to participate in our concerts
(generally on Saturday evenings in/around Norwich and Norfolk, but sometimes further afield!),
a commitment to practice and learn our songs, and bags of enthusiasm!
Members rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.45pm at Mile Cross Methodist Church,
with additional Tuesday rehearsals nearer concert dates.

Our Open Rehearsals have Non-Members particularly in mind and are being held on the dates shown above.
Just drop in to our rehearsal base at the Church for 7.30pm!
No Charge - No Audition - No Obligation
But you don't actually need to wait until then if you are THAT keen (or, indeed, that good...!)
especially if you have recent established membership of a choir, so know the ropes already.
